Detailed (Day by Day) of the 8-Day Uganda Safari: Chimpanzees, Wildlife & Gorilla Trekking
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe. Welcome to Uganda
You will arrive in Uganda at Entebbe International Airport; here you will be welcomed by our friendly professional guide, who will guide you into the beautiful Uganda. Before your safari, you’ll get a briefing and then go to your Entebbe lodging. Enjoy the rest of the day at your comfortable accommodation as you relax from the long layover flight.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibaale Forest National Park
Wake up very early, and after a delicious breakfast, set off and transfer to Kibaale National Park ahead of the chimpanzee trekking. Driving through scenic landscapes of Uganda, you will encounter rolling hills via several cities on the Fort Portal-Mityana route.
Along the way, you will enjoy an enroute lunch, after which you will embark on your drive to Kibaale National Park, the world’s primate capital, with over 13 species of primates calling the tropical forest their home. Upon arrival you will check in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Community Walk.
Today is a very intriguing day where you will get to observe the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. After a very early breakfast, set out and head to the park headquarters, where you will receive a briefing about the chimpanzee trekking experience. Here you will also learn the rules of the trek. After the briefing, an armed ranger will lead you through Kibale Forest and tell you about the park. The walk is totally rewarding, and you can encounter several other primates, including colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, and so many others.

Kibale Forest National Park
The chimps will be playing or jumping from tree to tree when you meet them after enjoying the birds’ songs on your walk. After an hour of observing the chimps, return with lovely pictures on your camera and memories. Come and meet your guide for your return to your accommodation for a hot lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a walk through the Bigodi Swamp, where you will witness several other primates, including the bush babies, and several other primates.
Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park for this 8-day Uganda safari, chimpanzee wildlife, and gorilla trekking.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its diverse landscapes of savannah vegetation and is home to a wide variety of animal species. You will explore the park on an incredible game drive and boat safari where you witness the aquatic animals. Upon arrival, check in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Morning Game drive and Afternoon Boat cruise on Kazinga channel
Start your day with an adventurous morning game drive where you will head out to catch the sunrise on your safari. Witness animals in Queen Elizabeth National Park as they go about their daily schedule; you will spot the big four, including elephants, lions, leopards, and buffalos. The game drive also brings you to a close encounter with towers of giraffes, several herds of Uganda cobs, and many warthogs.

Boat cruise on Kazinga channel
Enjoy the drive through the savannah grasslands, after which you will return to your accommodation for a hot lunch before heading out for an evening boat ride. The boat ride on Kazinga channel is very exciting, and you get to witness several animals, including the aquatic animals like hippos, crocodiles, and several bird species . Take time and take excellent photos along the channel that connects two lakes, Edward and George.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth National Park and head out to the famous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home to the endangered gorillas. The journey promises a scenic view of the rolling hills and vast landscapes. Upon arrival in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will check in at your accommodation, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight.
Day 7: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Today is a highlight of your 8 days of chimpanzee, wildlife, and gorilla trekking in Uganda. After enjoying a delicious breakfast, drive to the park headquarters. Here you will receive a briefing about the gorilla family and gorilla trekking rules, after which you will head into the forest in search of the endangered species.

After locating the gentle giants, it takes about one hour to discover the unique behavior of the majestic creatures. You will take eye-catching pictures while you observe the mountain gorilla’s distinctiveness. After the unique and memorable experience, drive to Lake Mburo National Park, where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 8: Morning game drive and Return to Kampala
Wake up early and embark on a thrilling game drive in Lake Mburo National Park, where you will witness several wildlife, including leopards, giraffes, zebras, impalas, warthogs, waterbucks, elands, and so many other animals.
After the game drive, you will head back to Kampala, marking the end of your eight-day Uganda safari of chimpanzees, wildlife, and gorilla trekking.
